The Said & Associates team is built on a strong foundation of over 30 years expertise, knowledge, understanding and respect. Many of our staff have been through an immigration process with their own families. This combination of both legal and personal immigration experience, means that we are uniquely qualified to help you navigate the complexities of the US immigration process.

Our Team
Said & Associates are here to be your personal guide through the complexities of the US immigration system. "We want to be part of your Immigration journey” is the motto of our Founder and Principal, Naima Said. Providing fully comprehensive immigration law services for employers and individuals alike, our attorneys can advise you in all areas of business immigration including labor certification, how to obtain work visas for your employees, employment eligibility verification and any other issues which may pose a barrier to the operations of your company. We are also here to help you when you need to apply for a family visa, fiancé visa or immigration visa and will guide you through the various process of obtaining a green card for lawful permanent resident status.
It can be frustrating applying for a visa. The U.S. immigration system is comprised of a complex web of intricate laws and vast bureaucratic agencies, each with its own rules, regulations and policies. Said & Associates will help you manoeuvre comfortably through the red tape to bring about the best possible outcomes for you.
Our offices are located in Columbia, MD, but we work with clients throughout the United States and internationally. We provide bilingual services in Spanish, with translation in other languages available upon request.

Naima Said, Attorney
For nearly 30 years, Naima Said has dedicated her practice in Columbia, Maryland to serving immigrants from far and wide. She is committed to serving her community with the years of experience she has accumulated navigating almost every immigration process including some of the most complex immigration cases. Naima wants to be part of your journey to America and all it offers. She relys her own expertise and that of her team to prepare your case.

Jessica Soares
"Jessica graduated from New York University with a degree in History and minor in Law and Society. She has more than 4 years of paralegal experience and plans to go to law school to become an immigration attorney. She is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese. As a first generation American, Jessica is passionate about immigrant rights and helping keep families together. Jessica has worked for Said & Associates for 3 years and has managed asylum, cancellation of removal, U-visa, T-visa, SIJS, family-based petitions, VAWA, I-601A waiver, and consular processing cases."

Fernando Nieto
"Fernando has been working in the Immigration field and international law since 2016. He holds a LLM in Law from The George Washington Law School in Washington DC. He has several years experience as an immigration paralegal helping attorneys to satisfy their client needs by managing their immigration processes and providing a high level of customer service. Fernando has worked for internationational organizations in social development projects and at the consular sections of embassies helping people in immigration and civil law process."

Rashidah Zhussanbay
"Rashidah is an undergraduate student at Binghamton University. Beginning as a legal intern, she has garnered the experience and knowledge to now work as a legal assistant. Her current undergraduate studies in Political Science have set a foundation for her greater aspirations of attaining her Juris Doctor Degree. As a first-generation citizen herself, she understands the importance of fostering a community of acceptance and understanding for other immigrants alike. Rashidah’s dedication to providing support for clients is always a priority."

Rose Taury
"Rose studies at the American University in Washington, DC and will soon study at the University of Oxford. Much of Rose’s life is defined by immigration; born in Iran and raised in Canada, she now lives in the US. Having grown up in immigrants communities, Rose has nurtured a passion for advocating their rights. As an immigration paralegal she has experience with Asylum, VAWA, and Hardship & Inadmissibility Waivers. Rose is dedicated to representing her community and plans to work as an immigration attorney after graduating."
